Hampshire borders Dorset/Wiltshire to the west, Berkshire to the north and Surrey/West Sussex to the east. The county is a popular tourist destination with seaside resorts, the South Downs and the New Forest National Park within its boundaries. The county town is the ancient capital of Winchester.
