Inner London is the name given to the group of boroughs at the central part of Greater London, it includes Camden to the north, Greenwich to the south east, Wandsworth to the south west and Kensington & Chelsea to the west. The inner London boroughs were defined in 1965 for the purpose of statistics. Inner London is the richest inner city in the European Union, ahead of Luxembourg and Brussels; wealth per inhabitant in the centre of the capital is three times the EU average. The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye are just three of the landmarks in Inner London. It is also home to Britain’s main financial centre.
