RBKC is located to the west of central London and borders the boroughs of Westminster to the east, Brent to the north and Hammersmith & Fulham to the west with Wandsworth and Richmond the other side of the River Thames to the south. The borough is home to many of London's landmarks including Harrods, Earls Court, the Science, Natural History and Victoria & Albert Museum's as well as hosting the annual August bank holiday carnival in the districts around Notting Hill.
